Coaching for Improved Performance
Coaching has become something of a 'buzz' word in many professions, such as education, voluntary and community sectors, and in the corporate world (not to forget the world of self-transformation and life-coaching itself).
Indeed, the CIPD has shown that coaching is ranked in the top three most effective learning and development practices by those businesses surveyed. Coaching can be a one-on-one intensive activity. Or a team activity. Either way it has a great potential to improve motivation, aspiration, goals and achievements.
"Robert provided professional, caring and effective support to one of our employees over 6 one-to-one coaching sessions. The lessons and coping mechanisms learned brought about a swift, positive change that colleagues commented on. Robert’s expert service proved to be both cost efficient and effective. Thoroughly recommend."
J. Banks, Director Dial A Ride, Charity Sector
"The coaching sessions with Robert were empowering. What he expertly did was give me back my faith in myself. I even find myself now using many of Robert's techniques when I am managing my staff, or even supporting my husband and children!"
Jayne Wilcock, Curriculum and Data Manager, Education Sector
While there is a recognised skills set for coaching; coaching, like all creative activities, is more than simply a set of skills. Coaching is a mindset; a growth mindset. Whether that be for your learning and development, to expand your business opportunities, or to support any activities in your life or business that has become ‘stuck’ or is underperforming.
Aim of the course
The key aim of this course is to support managers and team leaders develop their skills, their mindset and a coaching culture. We will do this by:
In order for this course to be effective it will be important that you put your learning into practice in real coaching situations, whether these are 1-1, team, formal or informal.
Additionally we will look at 'personality' and how this drives our behaviour and can impact on your own performance or the performance of your team.
Again, you will need to put this knowledge into practice for it to be meaningful.
I am founder and CEO of Creative Coaching Creative Cultures; Author of DISCover the Power of You (due to be published by John Hunt Publishing in 2017); Speaker; Consultant, Coach and Licensed DISC Trainer.
I have written these range of courses because I see a real need through my work in training, coaching and consultancy for an extension of the learning that I have developed through my book above.
There is a great saying 'If it's important you'll find the time. If not you'll find an excuse, and believe it.'
These courses are for those who want to find the time, not the excuses.
